Those years Momma was crazy.

It's so hard to get back to blogging regularly after you've taken a hiatus. There are so many things that are on my mind, things that I've probably already Instagramed or Facebooked about. I don't know about you, but once I've told a story or gotten something off my chest it's O-VER. It's like it's out and I can't get it back!

We've had lots of firsts since we moved out to the Bar A.
*First spider crawling on my shirt that was actually hanging IN my closet. mHmmm.
*First bottle calves.
*First time I was almost taken down by a hungry bottle calf.

Speaking of bottle calves, did I ever tell you about that time a baby calf climbed up on my front porch and pushed his nose up against the glass front door and begged to come inside?

*First time we've ever shown in a Texas stock show.
*First time to ever have cow stuff tracked through my entire house.
Why do so many of my firsts involve baby cows?

While I'm getting back on track with blogging most days, I'm going to focus more on stopping by my blog first. Usually I go straight to Facebook or IG. That's how the blog gets neglected. My poor kids. They'll have fun little blog books up until the stinkin' "diagnosis" and then it will skip a couple or three years. I guess they will just chalk that up to "momma was crazy for a couple of years". HA.

And since more than half of this post was about cows, I'll leave you with these sweet selfies of Kenna Mae, Case, and Google.

and Kooper resting on his Heifer after prepping for the stock show.

That's what's been up at the end of the dirt road!

I know how you feel about those firsts. Even though I grew up in the country my my longer married life has been spent in the city. I am learning to deal with the bugs, mice, rats, cyotes that steal watermellons and even a silly skunk that trapped itself in our garage.
