A little bit of Red River love...

Like I said in the last post, the Griswalds/Hortons 

ventured off to Red River, NM for a few days last week.

We love Red River for a couple of reasons:

1.) It starts out freezing cold in the morning, rains most afternoons about nap time, and finishes off with sunshine behind the mountains.

2.) It is super casual. Casual = RELAX!

3.) It is close to C-town. We can leave out about 6 and get there about lunch(ish). 

Unless you have to stop 45 majillionth times to go to the bathroom because you have 4 children and a bladder that has been through all those pregnancies.

Majillionth is a word.

So, enough yah, yah...

Don't think the loss of those front teeth doesn't make me want to cry every time I look at her.

Why do they have to get big?

The beauties...

The goobers that went up the ski lift in the beautiful sunshine to partake in lunch at the mountain top grill...

and got stuck in the torrential rain that came out of nowhere.

They handed out trash bags to those of us standing in line waiting for the lift back down.

Sopping wet.

For about an hour.

It felt fabulous.

Did I mention in my last post we went more than 40 days of over 100 degree weather here in C?

Most days we hit at least 108. 

Some days closer to 112.

So. Stinkin. Hot.

Whew.

Finally a lift down.

In our garbage bags.

Ta DA...

Man talk I'm assuming.

"Daddy, can I walk across this river? There is a tree (stick) I can use as a bridge?"

Ummm, no way, no how Mr.

Ma and her girl, Kate.

Jason's mother is so pretty!

We had fun.

We leave Friday for the beach!

We are going to Panama City Beach, Florida.

A first for our family.

We are staying here...

Looks like FUN to me!
