BROTHERS
We escaped the dreadful Texas climate for a few days over the 4th and ran off to Red River, NM.
It was so refreshing.
Although this post could be filled with lots of words and details about how I decided to shoot in manual mode on my camera the whole trip so I could show you some fantabulous shots of the beautiful mountains and some breathtaking children...
I will save that for the next post.
Therefore giving you the opportunity to laugh and throw biscuits at my head for the lack thereof
mad camera skilz.
HELP ME! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FOR THE LOVE OF ALL PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS OUT THERE!!
So, lets focus on the children here peeps.
Not the quality of photos!
One night we decided to take the kids down to the kid pond and do a little fishing.
It is a kid only pond and apparently the kids are supposed to catch a lot
of fish. Here is how our evening played out...
First off,
take notice of all the other people around the pond.
See how they all have blankets and hoodies and are all bundled up?
Well, NOT the Hortons.
We are from Texas people!
It has been over 100 degrees in Childress for more than 35 consecutive days and we were NOT ABOUT to put on a jacket.
We were freezing btw.
Ok, so now for the part where I try to use less words because it's Wednesday.
This is Kooper trying to catch a fish.
This is Case trying to catch a fish.
This is Case actually catching his first fish EVER!
This is Case dropping the fish because the fish that "won't bite!!" just bit him!
This is Case holding his SECOND fish ever!
And having the goofiest smile I have ever seen because he is scared to death that dang fish is gonna
take a bite out of his finger!
take a bite out of his finger!
Yep, that's Kooper still trying to catch a fish.
YAY, YAY, YAY!
Kooper finally caught a fish.
(If you want to book a photo session with me you're gonna have to take a number!)
AND this folks, is after Case did a little smack talk to his big brother and said,
"way to go Kooper.
I thought you were never gonna catch a fish.
I mean, I already caught TWO HUGE ones and you finallllly brought one in too.
It's so cute Kooper.
I'm pretty sure he might be the baby of the Momma and Daddy fish I just caught!!!"
BAM!
Bahahahahahaha!
*Insert valuable lesson for the Koopster.*
You can't be good at everything you do, dude!
;)
