1. I have sorority at my house tonight and my cleaning lady moved a couple of weeks ago.
2. It's just too painful to recollect!
LOL!
Let's just say it was one of "those" vacations.
Everything that COULD go wrong...DID!
However, when we look back at it, we can't help but laugh!
We had a fantastic time together...
all 20 of us! :)
The Palisades
All 4 families took our Rangers.
Hence, the vacation from h.e. double hockey sticks...
The kids all had to wear helmets this year because of a new law that was passed.
At first it was fun for them because they all got to pick out "cool" ones,
but by the end they were all complaining that their heads were too heavy for them to hold up!haha!
This is Kenna Mae's new pose. You can't really tell from the picture but she's giving "kissie lips" as she calls them. It cracks me up every time! Can you tell she has teenage aunts and cousins?
Kate and one of the cousins, J.
This would be before one of the Rangers completely refused to take another living breath.
This would be when OUR Ranger decided it needed a rest and the entire family left us stranded for over an hour in the middle of a forest. Don't worry, I've forgiven them! LOL! Some stranger came along and jumped us. Bless him! It's a little spooky to be stuck in the middle of a forest!
P.S. Ours was Ranger #2 to break down and we were only on day 2.
Playing baseball with a log and a water bottle while stranded in the forest.
Picking wild raspberries...
All the kids at the top of Greenie Peak.
Breathtaking!
The gang...minus Pam/Ma/Momma
A few other things to mention...
1. Ranger #3 just happen to break down on our last night there after it had jumped Jason and I for the 5th time while coming down the mountain IN THE DARK.
2. Being stranded in a DARK forest is MUCH worse than a light one.
3. We ended up having to leave Ranger #3 on the mountain and the boys went back the next morning and literally drug it down with no use of the power, including steering.
4. The wives were a nervous wreck.
5. While up at Goose Lake, Kooper and his cousin Cash met another little boy(who was SO CUTE) and were playing. Here is an excerpt from the conversation...
Boy at the lake-"Daddy, those boys are trying to get me to throw my UT cap in the fire!"
BALD(Boy at lake daddy)- "WHY???"
BL-"They said they are Red Raiders and UT stinks."
BALD-"well, did you tell them it's ok to like BOTH?"
BL--"yes, but they said, O NO IT'S NOT!!!!! YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE!!!"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
I thought of you Brandie!
I love it! I guess I should add that while Jason and I went to ACU, his brother lives in Lubbock and is a HUGE TT fan, while his sister's husband graduated from UT law. His other brother lives in OK and is a Sooner fan! LOL! We are so diverse! :)
