Positive Patty

Today is the day for looking on the bright side. After yesterdays Debbie Downer, or was it Negative Nelly, post, I feel the sun shining on my face as I type this. It's gonna be a good day! A day to cheer up and get my hands dirty and my head spinny from Clorox Clean Up! I am challenging myself today to not do OR say anything negative. So here goes...



1. What? You say the shift key on my new laptop is sticking today and every time you try to capitalize a word you have to consciously stop and take time out of your precious typing to hit it harder than the other keys? Never fear, the rest of this post will have NO capital letters folks. you read that right. i am breaking the laws of blogosphere and not starting any sentences with capitals. i think my habit of capitalizing just to make my words pop will be the hardest to resist. see there, i so would have capitalize pop there. and possibly the word so also. i am also realizing that many of my favorite punctuation marks also use the shift key. what will i do without my beloved exclamation mark.



2. what. you say someone moving to childress came to town for the day yesterday and had heard through the grapevine that your house was almost for sale and wanted to come look. again, never fear, just sweep that dirt under the rug this one time. they will never know. i mean, after all, they did give you 15 minutes to tidy things up. o. my. word. i almost died. what are the chances that on my negative nelly day someone would unexpectedly want me to show my house. i cannot tell you how many times i said the words...im sorry this closet is such a mess, but at least you know it holds alot of crap. yes, i did. but, hey, maybe will will sell our house to the first looker even before we put it on the market. how awesome would that be.



3. have you ever tried to write a post without using the shift key. it is stinkin hard. im so done with it. it's stressing me out on my positive patty day.!!!!????""""YAY! That felt so good!



4. I will get the winter clothes put up today. If you see my children around town (in the next blizzard that could be as soon as tomorrow in this crazy Texas weather) with shorts, crocs, and a coat on, just know that I had to clean out the closets. I HAD TOOOO!!



5. I will run today. The weather is beautiful, the birds are chirping, the wind isn't blowing, YET!



6. If Kooper's basketball coach keeps him in practice again tonight until 9:15, as he did last night, it's OK. He can always lay his head on his desk for a nap at school during math. It's OK. It's just school, basketball is SO more important. (See, aren't I a positive thinker today!)



7. Kenna Mae is at school this morning and Case is still in bed. The house is quiet and it's 8:45! YAY!



8. This list could go on, but frankly, it's boring. SO, I'll stop!



Yesterday was a very hard day for me. I know we all have hard days. I know you all have kids just as I do and that you are all running around like chickens with your heads cut off just as I am.

SO, today, this is the day that the Lord has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it!

I refuse to let Satan ride in my passenger seat like I did yesterday. I shall kick him to the curb!:) Or maybe I'll let Case do it with his boots on!
