Update smupdate...

Kenna Mae is becoming the comedian of the family. I think we have all started to call her "Sassy". And I do mean Sassy...with a capital S. That girl thinks she owns the place. It is one sassy comment after another. Most of them she really needs a good visit with Mr. Time-out. Often which, she doesn't. By your fourth, you learn to choose your battles, and she is so stinkin funny. Here are a few examples from this week...

1. Almost every morning I am woken by all 4 of my kids wrestling with one another in one bed or another. The other morning, I hear Kenna screaming at the top of her lungs for Kooper to get OUT OF HER BED. Then I hear Koop say, "Kenna Mae, why don't you want to cuddle with me?" to which she replies, not very sweetly, "because...BOYS ARE STINKY! Now get out of my bed!" Isn't that sweet??

2. Then Case was pestering her while she is sitting in my lap. She finally had enough of him and this is how it played out:
K: "boys SUCK!"
Me: gasping, "Kenna Mae!!"
K: "What Mommy? Is suck a bad word?"
Me:"YES!! It is a very bad word..."
K: "Ok, Mommy, I won't say suck again ok? Cause suck is a bad word!"
Ya think she was enjoying the use of the word suck??

Do you see a common bond between these two things?? She apparently is going through a boys-are-bad phase. She better get used to them, she's got two of the most rotten boys alive as big brothers.

3. Just today she said, "I'm bad hungry for lunch Mommy. Can I have chicken nuggies and popsicles for lunch?"

Oh, she is getting quiet the little personality. And poor Miss Angie...get ready for Miss Sassy. I'm sure she will learn to enjoy some quiet time in the "thinking chair"!!
I had to tell the story behind this picture...she was whining that she was bored while we were on vacation. Kate and Kooper were out riding their bikes with their new friends. So, Jason told her to go find a stick to dig a hole and sit in it. Here she is digging her hole. HeHE! Now those are some parenting skills folks!

These pictures have absolutely nothing to do with this post. Just a couple, because I couldn't get blogger to upload the other 6 I had to go with it. I guess he is being stubborn today.

I just wanted to let everyone know that things are well in Hortonville. Crazy busy, like everyone else I know! I just told someone a day or so ago that my schedule was open until school started and today there is ink everywhere on my calendar. It's amazing how days get filled up so quickly. Dentist appointments, eye appointments, doctor's visits, hair appointments, birthday parties, family picture appointments...it's crazy!!
I started running this week and it is killing me!! My good friend Bea is meeting me at 6:30 every morning. Might I add...I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON!! I have lost about 20 pounds over the last 6 months, but this time, I am serious, and I really want to wear "skinny" jeans this winter!! Granted, my idea of skinny jeans might be different than yours, I still intend to NOT be able to wear the fat jeans!! Thank you Belinda for helping me get motivated!
I am so behind on school shopping this year!! I have only bought backpacks and one pair of shoes for each kid!! That is SO bad when you have all 4 kids going to school in some form in two weeks!!
Oh. My. Word. TWO WEEKS!! Sorry a little panic attack just hit me.
And no, I didn't get a single wall painted last week. But, I did get alot of other things done around here!! Maybe I can paint when all the kids are back to school.
Hope you are all having a good week!

I admire you just for getting up and running that early...I am not a morning person, but keep it up!! Is the youngest always the sassiest? Ella is becoming pretty sassy herself!! Kenna is too cute! Loved seeing you last night. Hope to see you again soon.

I heard this morning on GMA that running is the best way to stop the aging process. I started and have now tapered off, but maybe if I find someone to run with me, I could do it. Maybe. Ha!

It's in the same shopping center as Jason's Deli and Luskey's. It's very expensive... $50- $150 per outfit, but they have 50% off sales reguarly and even had a $5 rack the last two times I went. They have Haute Baby, Baby Nay, and Greggy Girl. I can only buy stuff when it's on sale.

20 pounds? That's awesome! I started running too.. run/ walk right now... I'm too out of shape!

I feel your pain on the "Sassy" thing. Morgan is too! She said, "this sucks" at a restaraunt the other night. Oh' goodness... I didn't know what to say!

Ah, the sassy attitude... how could you do anything but laugh? We have become pros at hiding our laughing until Kali is promptly in time out and cant see our giggles! It is soooo hard sometimes! Good luck with your battle!
