Christmas Trees and Sick Baby Girls...

Do I have any volunteers? My Christmas tree is STILL up. I always take it down on New Years Day, but I just can't get around to it. Any takers? At this point I'm thinking it makes sense to just leave it up all year and save myself some time come Thanksgiving 2008! Hey, I like my tree...maybe I could stand to look at it for the next 12 months!

Yesterday was on the most fun days I've had in a long time. I went shopping with my mom and the girls. I took Kenna with me because it was her birthday and I just couldn't leave her. She wanted to go so bad. However, she did wake up at 3 am running high fever. But, when the poor pitiful thing asked me (at 3 am...with 103 fever) "Momma, I still go chopping wiff juuuu morrow?" I couldn't leave her. I know...not the most responsible mommy thing to do. So, I drug my sick baby girl all over Amarillo yesterday. Advil and Tylenol in hand. She was a sweet little angel. She never complained. She was just glad to be spending time with her Momma. She may have been just a little bit spoiled by her Momma and her Nana. Sick on her birthday. Lets just say...ice cream, baby dolls, and new princess pajamas!! Among other things like...cotton candy suckers, lip gloss, and more ice cream...for lunch and dinner!! Here she is at lunch having a little of that ice cream. I took 8 pictures in a row and NOT A SINGLE GOOD ONE! Little stinker. Not even one smile.

Except for this fake one. Lovely!
Ava Grace came along, too. I'm sure Kenna shared a few germs with her baby cousin. Let's hope not. This baby was an angel. I'm not sure she really cried one time. She was a pleasure. Another reason why I had such a fun time.

Kenna is still running fever today. I took it a little while ago and it was almost 104. She tends to run really high fevers when she gets sick. I think she just has a bad cold. She's not really even complaining of anything specific hurting. And believe me...if something hurt....I'd know it. She's not much the "non-complainer".

Wish me luck with this Christmas tree issue I have. I just need a little motivation!!

Jason and I are going to look at a house today. We are considering putting our house on the market. We need something a little bigger and more functional. After re-arranging rooms for the 4th time last week, I finally realized that we just CAN'T make this one work for our large family. Please keep this house hunt in your prayers. Childress is not known for it's quick selling market. It makes me really nervous!!

Have a great weekend!!

Hey there...I am the exact same way. I still have all 8 of my trees up and everything else. Since we have been gone for so long and then I am not feeling good....I just have it sitting there....ALONG with all my laundry from the trip and 2 weeks...Toby has been a real trooper and helping tremendously. About the house, good luck. Toby and I have been debating the same thing, since we have the little one on its way. I hope you find something and sell yours...I really love your house though...Let me know if there is anything that I can ever do though...

You make me feel normal - my tree is still up, too. I'm hoping for next week when the kids go back to school! It was going to be today, no matter what, but we had to take cats to the vet - long story - maybe I'll blog about it! ha ha!

Happy B-Day to Kenna! Our BABIES are growing up! Grace will be 3 in a few short weeks, too! (Crying Mom!)

Love ya'!

I think Rt was the one tired of our tree... it came down yesterday after he went and brought all the boxes in!
