Thanksgiving Break 2011

Let's back up a bit and talk document Thanksgiving 2011.
We decided to do something a little different this year and packed all our bags and headed to the ranch to STAY the whole break.
We only live 20 minutes from Jason's parents and we hadn't done that since we moved home almost 7 years ago!
The kids loved it and it was so nice and relaxing not to have to load up and head home at dark thirty every night. It was just Jason and I and the kids this year, so it was MUCH quieter than normal!

I made Kenna Mae this shirt to celebrate turkey day.

and this hair bow...that needs improvement next year! lol.
The ribbon flipped forward and covered up the turkey.

We took Lolli with us. Spoiled little dog.
She looks like a snobby little pup in this pic.
That's because she IS!

We took the kids to the Stockyards in Fort Worth the weekend after Thanksgiving.
They had the best time!
They saw Santa dressed as a cowboy...

got their face painted like a creepy reindeer...
(LOL!!!)

and a scary angry bird...
(their face painter could use some practice!)

had a ride on a stagecoach...

and ate gourmet cupcakes!
It was a spur of the moment trip and we LOVED it.
Downtown Fort Worth at Christmas time has turned out to be one of my most favorite places to visit over the years. It is beautiful and has some amazing restaurants. The Reata is one of the BEST!

I also made a a few Christmas shirts on Thanksgiving day.
Sewing has turned into a relaxing, therapeutic thing for me.
I can sit and think in the quiet all alone!
Nice!

Now there is proof that we had Thanksgiving 2011 for my blog book! :)
