It hit me today that I never blogged about out trip to the Cape in October.
It was fantastic, wonderful, magical, relaxing and exciting all wrapped up in one package.
When I think of our trips to Chatham it makes me want to take a deep breath in and go "ahhhh, Chatham".
It's quaint, yet bustling.
It's full of fun shopping.
The food is TO DIE FOR.
Once you've had seafood from the coast you will never eat Texas seafood again. EVER!
You will see by the end of this post why I gained enough weight to need "Turbo Fire" when we got home!
I bought these TOMS in a cute little shop on the square.
The houses are lovely.
I want one.
The best Lobster roll ever!
HUGE chunks of lobster...yUmmO!
Little clams and scallops...ALIVE on the beach!
Crazy cool!
Food AGAIN!
My favorite Lobster Bisque
THIS is how fish and chips is supposed to be done!
Marion's Pie Shop was THE BEST!
Jason and I choose to go after his October 15th tax deadline every year so it can truly be a "stress free" getaway for us.
The problem with that time of year is several of the great places are closed for the season. :(
A view from the pier....
A super fun hangout...
An example of how NOT to paint a Cape Cod style house.
Turquoise, YES! Just not the whole stinkin house!
An accidental find that turned out to be our cheapest, yet BEST meal of our trip!
You can spend some major cash on food on the Cape.
We were there for their annual pumpkin festival.
Such cute pumpkin themes!
One of our other favorites.
See...touches of turquoise!
Much better!
Chatham just before dark.
Ahhhhh, Chatham, I love you!
