I know. I've said it at least a million times. I think I may need a little counseling. Not the full blown, "you're crazy" counseling. More like the "the reason you can't resist the urge to change things is..." kind of counseling. I've done it again. I've started a HUGE project at the worst possible time. WHY? You ask. Because I simple cannot resist the urge to change something at all times. I talked about this in my last post.
I really wanted to change my blog. But, I paid quiet alot of money for it(NOT ALOT, but alot) and my guilt was getting to me. Not to mention that the girl who I talked to about customizing a new blog for me really thought I might be crazy. She was very sweet and kind, but basically said..."why? Your blog is so CUTE!" She was right, dang it! It is cute. I do love it! So...I'll just change something else.
Jason got home on Friday night and I hit him with a thought. Let's redo our hardwood floors this weekend. WHAT? Hey, if you can't change your blog, I say change your floors!!! The funny part in all this is that my sweet little hubby went with it. YES! He actually agreed to take on the small task of sanding a good 500 square feet of original hardwood floors in a house built in 1928. So here I am. Sitting in my kitchen instead of on my comfy couch with my laptop because my couch would be in Kooper's room with ALL the living room furniture and decor. Why? Oh, why, did I think this was a good idea?
The floors are completely sanded down to the wood, but when in the world are we going to have time to finish this HUGE project? Jason is about to enter into his busiest busy season EVER! (More on that later) Tax season is a killer on a CPA's family. WE HATE IT! At least the kids and I do. He seems to kinda like it being that this is the only time of year we make money!! Not really, but this is when we make most of our money!! We do have some of our best friends on this planet coming for a visit this weekend so WE WILL FINISH this week. Motivation!!
I seemed to have forgotten the other project I did this weekend. I painted my HUGE dinning room table that Jason built me. It looks amazing if I do say so myself. It was this totally not me brownish grey color on the base and legs, and I painted it this AWESOME creamy almond color. SO pretty! I am going to distress it today. I told my BFF that it is now kind of a french country meets rustic. That is my taste. One that I have made up on my own accord!! You're gonna think it's awesome, too. I'll post pictures tomorrow!
So there you have it. TWO big projects this weekend. Neither of them finished.
Better run for now. Need to go find something else to change!! The front porch does need painting.....

You crack me up! Can you come to my house and kick my sorry hiney into gear?!?!?!? I have the opposite problem... I never change anything because I don't want the chaos and mess that go along with it!!
Seriously... Slow down girl! I do that same things with projects... my dr said it has to do with my ADD, but I'm not sure. I guess projects are better than shopping!`
Oh my goodness! Doing floors is huge! I can't believe you're doing that with all the kids there. Have you ever stained a floor that large? Chris and I did our whole house so if you need tips - give us a ring. If you run out of things to change at your house, come to mine! There are lots of projects there. Love ya - Sharon
It is OK. But I do think you need to come up with a new hobby... I did...OH...never mind a opened a gym and got pregnant. I was exactly the same way. Sometimes Toby would come home at lunch and one project would be almost finished and then when he came home after practice another would be started. But, actually, my husband hated it...so that made me slow down a little. But I am the type I like to change. I have been thinking of nurseries now. And if I want to paint my living room before the baby gets here. But, I did start to listen to one thing my mother said, just remember, if it makes you happy (and you don't have to spend too much money) do it.. Especially if you have the support from hubby.... Mine kinda put a small stop to it...but then after the project is finished he is so excited about the results....Men...take care...but I really like your blog...don't change it unless you really have to...and if you change....can I buy this one from you????
Hey... I am with you on the change thing... My hubby doesnt like change though so it sort of "hinders" me!! Cant wait to see pics of the table. I am sure it is adorable :)
