Anybody out there have a new soup recipe they would like to share. I'm in the mood for soup and I'm tired of all my recipes. Come on...share!!!
Oh, and just so you all know what an AWESOME momma I am.....I FORGOT my camera at home last night. So, the only pictures of my kids on Halloween are on my new phone. Which I haven't exactly figured out how to work yet. PLUS, they were all tired and only had half their costumes on when we got home so I couldn't take pics when we got home either. Kenna was passed out in her crown and princess dress and all. I will post some of the pics off my phone when I figure it out. SORRY!
JUST CALL ME SUPERMOM!!

Don't worry. You had your hands and head full. About a recipe, Marci Mills has the best potato soup I have ever had. I am going to email her and try to get that recipe for you. Also, have you ever tried a southwest chicken (taco) soup...Let me know...
Ahhh, I do it all the time. I've gotten really bad about forgetting the camera lately... so much for the scrapbooking. :)
I have no soup recipe for ya, however I did eat Pasta Fagioli soup from Olive Garden... I say just go there! haha!
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Ingredients:
Chicken (whole or breast)I use chicken breast
5 zucchini
1 onion
3 cans of whole kernel corn
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 small can of tomato sauce
2 pkgs taco seasoning
cumin, salt, pepper
tortilla chips
cilantro
avocado
Boil chicken breast until cooked thoroughly take chicken out and cube. Save about 5 cups of broth.
Slice zucchini and onion add these to the broth. When you get the chicken cubed put it back into the broth. Add cans of corn, tomatoes, and sauce, taco seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper to taste. Bring all this to a boil until zucchini is tender. Serve with tortilla chips, cilantro, and avocado. It's really good!!!
Yesterday when I asked the kids to pose for me I got a really good one of them, too bad Case wasn't w/ yall. I'll bring the SD card to work tomorrow and give it to Jason, so yall will have an actual pic of them.
I CANT BELIEVE YOU FORGOT YOUR CAMERA!! What kind of blogger are you??? I have been waiting all day to see a picture of those cute kiddos. Hope you figure out how to get the one from your phone. Hey, I got a camera phone yesterday... so if you figure it out, let me know :) My favorite soups are corn chowder, taco soup, chicken and dumplings (YUM-o), and good ole chili. Let me know what you make :)
Its OK.....my battery was DEAD, so I only got 3 pics the whole night.
There was no point in even trying to take one when we got home...the costumes were half off by then!!
I will think of soup recipes and post them.....soon......
I will try yours though. I made Shelley's corn one and they loved it!
OK - easy AND delicious!!
Broccoli Soup
Brown 1/2 chopped onion in 1/2 stick of butter. Then add 1- 10 oz. package of chopped broccoli. Saute until warm. Stir in 1 can each of cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, and cream of potato soups. Then add two soup cans full of milk. Heat until bubbly. Top each bowl with a little shredded cheddar and chopped bacon.
It's EASY to double for a large crowd, and even children will love it (if you can ever get them to taste it.) We usually have it with a tube of Pillsbury Crescent rolls (because they are SO healthy! ha ha)
Enjoy!!!
Love, Betsy
