Just kidding. I just couldn't come up with a good title for this post, so I thought I'd fake a funny joke. No luck here, I'm a terrible joke teller! Anyway, this week is flying by. Not much happening on the home front. But, I knew if I didn't post today it would only be another 24 hrs until Shelley reminded me of it. We are really good at keeping each other motivated to blog. We are actually good at motivating each other to do alot of things. Especially her. She is a great friend. Sorry, just a little burst of "oh, I miss my best friend". And maybe a little burst of "I need Shelley to get me off my fat butt" moment. I guess a mixture of the two.
Kenna Mae is in fine form lately. Right now she is trying to take a nap. She actually likes to snuggle down with her blankie, Betty, and catch a few z's. Today, however, she is thoroughly "ticked" because she wants me to turn off the light. The kicker is....no light on. It's the sun shining through the window. Sorry, babe, can't turn off the sun!! And, to top it all off, she has "misplaced" Betty. Her daddy can't keep up with it for the life of him. Don't tell him I said that!
Last night I was helping Kate with her Bible study for Wed. night church. She is in charge of the lesson this week. She is so great at learning the Bible. She is an amazing kid. Anyway, Kenna was out on the front porch with Case. The front door was open and I could see them form the couch. She came to the screen and asked me if she could ride her tricycle down the stairs. There are about five and they are very steep. Of course not!!! She said, "oh, man"! Then went on about her business. I bet is was about 10 seconds before I heard a terrible crash outside. Then Case panicking, and Kenna screaming. Well....she hadn't ridden if down the stairs, but she had taken the dang thing straight off the porch. And ya'll, our porch is HIGH! She can't even climb up onto it from the ground. The neighbor had seen the whole thing and he came running over!! The tricycle was on top of her. Thank goodness, no damage was done to the beloved trike!! She was covered in grass and her knee was banged up pretty good. Her elbow...."belbow" was scratched. Overall, it was a successful attempt. Great trick, Kenna Mae!! But don't try it again!!! She wants me to tell you guys..."do not try this at home"!! Crazy girl, she is tougher than both my boys put together!!
We were doing a bible study with the kids last night and Jason asked if they wanted to pray for anything or anyone. Kate was listing all these "girlie"things to pray about. Friends, Ava, her lesson at church. Koop....."pray that we win our first football game Saturday!" Typical boy. It's all about winning!! He made me laugh!!
I know this post has just made you guys want more!! My life is so exciting and entertaining!LOL! Maybe more tomorrow! Love you guys!!

We may be having dueling prayers ... I think that's what we prayed for this week. I hope we don't play you guys or God's going to have a hard time chosing who wins. :)
HEY... I was giving you until TONIGHT to post something new. Glad it came so I did not have to harrass you. NOW GET UP AND GO WALK..... just kidding.... GO RUN..... now just really kidding. We do need some new posts on the mommie blog. I am starting over with lots of things in my life.... working out MWF and once on weekends, new zit med:), etc. Come on! I will start asking you if you worked out. We will get back on track together. Miss ya. If you still lived here we would do it everyday b/c we would have each other and not have to do it alone! Take care!!!
Maybe it's good you don't live here anymore...Kenna and Gracie would be LETHAL together! :-) Gracie turned a cart over (and I mean COMPLETELY over) in Target in Waco this weekend. Landed right on top of Abby. Popcorn flew everywhere, drinks spilt, kids screaming... you get the picture. Target employees came out of the WOODWORK. I have now had a "code green" called on me in Target. Katie was so embarrassed I thought she was going to walk away and never come back! ha ha!!
Sounds like your family is doing great. I love hearing your stories about the kids. Poor Kenna. Falling off the porch. You turn your eyes for one second... Hope to see you guys soon. I think Kenna and Ava would have a blast together.
glad that Kenna is OK! how scary......
How is your sister that had the baby doing now?
You sound like a busy mom just like me. I LOVE IT!! Your kids sound precious. You actually sound like an amazing family. Having Bible study together every night? That is a great motivation to get that going in my own house. I usually just let my husband do it with the girls at night and give me and Jude some time to ourselves. Doing it as a family sounds awesome. Way to go on the inspiration!!!
Oh man...that is too cute. At least she followed directions and didn't ride down the stairs. I love the stories about the kids. We wish you were still here so we could see them grow and change. Miss ya'll!!!
I love the logic of kids... down the stairs was a nono so I'll just go off the side. Glad she's ok! Kali does lots of great things like this so I completely understand! I used to think the school would call CPS she had so many bruises from her escapades!
