VBS 2007.....The Voyage of Noah

100 years ago, Jason's great grandfather broke ground on North Groesbeck Church of Christ. It is a small, country church out in the middle of nowhere. It takes us 30 minutes to drive out there every Sunday and Wednesday . I know that doesn't sound so bad to those of you who live in the city, but us country folks....that's a long commute!! Our church averages about 60 people on Sunday mornings so it is very quaint and loving. However, it most definitely lacks manpower. This year was the first year to have VBS at NGCoC. And of course, in true Amy fashion, I volunteered to be one of only a couple of ladies to be in charge. "In charge" at our church DOES NOT mean to delegate. It is truly "do it all if you say you will be in charge"! Thank goodness I had the other ladies helping. We were all a great team and we pulled it off! Our first year pulled in about 30 kids. Which is awesome for a church of 60 members 30 miles out in the country!! Here are a few pictures from the day. There were so many(of course, I went picture taking crazy)it was hard to choose....

Two of the prettiest girls in our youth group...who also happen to be my niece Kelsea(L) and sister Kaylan(R)! Yes, Kaylan colored her hair brown. Now who the heck does Case look like???

Kenna Mae making bead bracelets. This is her new "picture"face. She perches her lips like that....who knows where that came from!

Case and Cousin Cale as our two elephants on the ark. These two are the best of friends and are going to miss each other so much when Craig and Kenni move!

My very pregnant sister, Krista, helping like every 9 month pregnant...swollen ankled....contracting pregnant girl does.....holding down the chair!!! Her presence was appreciated!

Kenna Mae as lamb #1 on the ark. Of course, with the mask on upside down. She refused to put it on the right way. After a while, you just gotta let her win bc after all, look how cute she is!!! Her little hazel eyes were looking right at me in this picture!

Glad you made it through VBS. Looks like the planning and work paid off. Maybe next year I will come and bring the girls for a weekend of fun at NGCofC!
