Who is this child?

I think it is safe to say that this is officially the most boring summer EVER in the history of Horton summer's! It seems like we are running around constantly, yet not doing anything. Does that make any sense? Anyway, I just need a little excitement. Even some sunshine would be OK.

It has been a sad few days for Jason and I. Case is our amazingly funny, witty, charming little guy that will be four in about a month. I have blogged about him MANY times and he has never seised to disappoint me for a good blog moment. Brace yourselves people....it is official...Jason Case Horton is a BRAT!!! The past few days have been like a slap across the face to us. Our little ray of sunshine is acting like a terror!! He has a smart mouth on him and talks back CONSTANTLY. It breaks my heart. He is Case!! CASE!! Today on my way to Wal-Mart with ALL four of them he took Kooper's wallet and dumped every dime out into the floor and then laughed!! I whipped the car around an left him at Jason's office to take a nap! Yesterday, my mom told him not to do something and he said,"why?" and when she answered him he smarted off with "how do you know?" I nearly fell out of my chair!! Who is this child that has entered the body of my Case? Could it be an older, four year old version of the one we laughed at so many times before? Could it be possible that we have created him when only a few months ago we would have laughed at the same things that now seem completely obnoxious? Yes! I am afraid our little ray of sunshine is hitting the terrible 4's. There were no terrible 2's or 3's. But, boy, do we have out hands full know!!!

Please pray for us as we embark on this new endeavor! Raising Case as a four year old!!!

Amy...I'm still laughing. That's hilarious. Don't worry. We all have brats. Only YOU have the nerve to admit it on your blog:).

I second what Amy said... Poor Case! Give him some slack... He has to follow in Kate and Kooper's tracks and they were near perfect. Case is just more like a normal child...

Thanks for your post, Amy. I do remember you and your cute kids.
I guess I will keep on blogging now that I have two fans! ha

Kali is our Case. It took some time, but she has finally learned when it is ok to horse around and when it isn't. Should I mention here that it took kindergarten for that to happen? I think the most difficult part of all of it was realizing that I couldn't laugh when she acted out. It had to be the hardest thing ever. Kali enjoys life to the fullest and stresses us out to the fullest! :) Good luck!
