Faithful blogger...

My sweet friend Charla so kindly pointed out to me the other day that all my post lately have started out with.."sorry it's been so long," or "a little catching up to do"! SO TRUE!! So today, I am making a blog resolution. I am going to post at least every couple days, and my true hope is every day. I read alot of blogs that post every day and come on...it's not like I have to type a novel every time!! Just a quick little comment or thought for the day. I challenge all my blog buddies to do the same! It's not like it really takes that long. Ten minutes max. Unless you do have a novel, then maybe thirty! This blog thing is by FAR the best way for us mommies and friends to stay connected!! So come on and take my challenge and lets update every day or two!

OK, having said all that....A LITTLE CATCHING UP TO DO!! LOL! Charla! There has been alot going on and instead of posting everything in a "novel" I will pick one thing everyday and start my resolution that way! So for today....

My Katie-girl turned 9 on June 9th! Can you believe it? I'm going to make her one of those cute slide shows of her life and post it tomorrow if I get around to it! But for now...the top TEN things I love about Kate...

1. Her big brown eyes!! I know, the first thing is physical! But I'm not kidding they are BIG and BEAUTIFUL! It is really hard to be angry at her when she looks at me...really looks at me...in the eyes...melt my heart!

2. Her "momminess"! She is the ONLY reason I am not crazy with all these crazy kids running around. She takes over with the babies and tends to them all the time. She helps me make lunch and do the laundry, and make snacks!! The list goes on and on. She's going to make an amazing mom when she's 30!!LOL!

3. Her sweet spirit! Kate loves Jesus and is not afraid to show it. One time a little girl at school told her that she wasn't a christian. When Kate argued with her the girl told her that she was "supposed" to wear dresses everyday! Kate's response? "Yea, right! Show me that in the bible!" I was so proud of her that day. She is so mature for her age and it makes me smile knowing that she understands that the bible is the place to find answers for her life!! I feel a baptism around the corner. She is asking alot of questions and is very emotional about it. GOD IS GOOD!

4. Every year Kate's teacher points out how sweet Kate is to the other kids. She treats everyone the same. Her best buddies and the dirty little shy girl in the corner. She is friends with everyone!

5. Her love of the water! She loves to swim...and tube...and dive...and knee board! Anything that involves deep water!

TO BE CONTINUED.....(the kids are starving and I'm NOT going to take my chance of getting back to it today)!

REMEMBER THE CHALLENGE!

Yay, Amy! So glad to see another post and believe me, I will keep you to your promise! At least once a week is a goal for me, most of the time I blog more, sometimes less. Whatever works. I will tell you though, it's always a thrill to see new "stuff" on your blog, especially now that I know your SWEET, SWEET children.

Hey... so glad that you are a "faithful blooger" again! We love reading your posts... As soon as my computer comes back to me from the shop, I hope to get better again! I enjoy reading blogs and keeping up with things!

Wow. I hope Neely is as much a help as Kate some day. Right now she just enjoys torturing her brother and sister :). She has her moments though. Tell Kate happy birthday and that we miss her! I still remember her as an adorable two-year old. We really need to plan a time to get together (with the Hales too) this summer. We haven't seen you all in forever and all our kids are growing way too fast!
