Best Vacation Ever 2010...

Long time no post!
Life has been super duper crazy here in Hortonville.
I am so ready for it to sloowwww down, which it will since my boys both played their last football game this past weekend. Praise the Lord!
Basketball doesn't start until after Christmas so we are free as a bird...except for gymnastics for both girls, UIL practices for two of the kidlets, voice, the new karate class Jason has the boys starting, and lets not forget the mountain of homework Kooper brings home every night.
I have definitely learned to just breath deep and relax, because I LOVE being busy with my kids.
Pretty sure this life is the pure definition of  "Mommy".
P.S. Kate called this morning from the school crying saying she had a terrible headache so I went and picked her up. She walked straight to the bathroom and threw up.
Also pretty certain dealing with vomit is somewhere in that definition also.
NOT. FUN.

Back to the point of this post...
In the midst of all the chaos of life, Jason's parents called late one Tuesday night and offered us two airline vouchers. Two very nice airline vouchers. The catch...the needed to be used within TWO days.
So, we talked about if, when, how, where, HOW over the next day and on Wednesday night we booked a flight to Chatham, Mass. on the very tip elbow of Cape Cod.
We somehow managed to pack six people, make a list with 1000 things for my mom to do and places for her to take my children, make treats for Kenna Mae, Case, and Kooper's Halloween parties at school, and get Halloween costumes all ready in less than 24 hours.
We left for Cape Cod at 6:30 Friday morning!

Here is where I must add..
remember how I have a terrible, ridiculous, horrible, sick to my stomach fear of flying?
Well, I did it!
But, i still have a terrible, ridiculous, horrible, sick to my stomach fear of flying.
It didn't help that on the last leg home, we landed in a heavy thunderstorm in Dallas.
Jason told me to close my eyes and hang on.
And I didn't die.
But I still hate it!
HATE IT!

I also must add that for those of us from the panhandle of Texas...
we DO NOT have trees that color here.
Our trees are green and then one day they are yellow and then the next day they are brown.
As in dead.
The colors of fall in Cape Cod were breath taking!
Indescribable for us Texas Panhandlers! :)

we DO NOT have really good seafood. ANYWHERE!
The seafood on the coast is amazing.
and I hate seafood.
and i ate ALOT of seafood.
A LOOOOOT.

Here are some pictures of one of the best times, if not THE best time, I've ever had with my husband!

View from our balcony.

The other side of our balcony...

My husband took 480 pictures on our trip.
He made me stand and pose in about 450 of them.
At least now I have enough pics of me for a slide show for my funeral!LOL!
(when I'm old and grey of course)
(wait, I'm already grey...when I'm old and no longer care enough to cover my grey!)

The inn where we stayed.
Downtown Chatham...so beautiful!

The wind blew 500 mph the entire time we were there.
I decided to throw in this picture of me NOT ready for him to snap my picture.
The wind was blowing my hair in my face and I was tossing my head back to get it out!
LOL!
I'm such a goof!
(P.S. I do not have an abnormally square belly button. That is my phone!haha!)

The vacation home Jason is buying me for Christmas!
I know, he is so sweet! ;)

Sunrise at the beach.

The lighthouse at the beach in Chatham.

This lighthouse was somehere along the outer edge of the coast. We drove up to Provincetown one day and took the "scenic" route. So beautiful!

Jason gets better and better at taking pictures he knows I will appreciate!
Always, always, always cut off the hips...or hide them behind a bench.

We went to a charming little winery in Truro.
LOVED IT!

I've been to Napa Valley.
No, wait, we got snowed in and stayed in Dallas for 5 days.
Still a great vaca! haha.

The BEST seafood ever!
This is a super fun, yummy restaurant in Provincetown.
There is a very interesting story about these little Texans and our experience in this quaint little town, but that will have to wait. It's not exactly blog discussion. :)
Good times!

These pictures are going to cause you to call me a liar.
I did not edit the next four pictures of this sunset.
Not one little bit.
Not the brightness, or the exposure...
Nada.
Zilch.
Nun-ya.
ha.
ZERO.
Plus, it is ALL THE SAME SUNSET!
It was amazingly, beautiful, crazy!
Makes me **sigh** every time I remember.

(I promise! NO photo editing was done! Seriously!)

Our home away from home,
The Plum Daffy.
Or, as Jason called it,
The Plum Duck.

The one and only picture of us together!

I highly recommend everyone and their dog take a trip to The Cape someday.
For those of you who are lucky enough to live there,
I hate you.
For those of you that go there every summer, or fall, or winter, or spring,
I hate you.

GO! HURRY!
