Crazy, crazy, crazy...

Life is crazy right now.
There are so many things going on that I am finding it hard to determine up from down.
It feels like the first week and a half of school has actually been a month or more! I'm pretty certain there is no way to stuff anything else in! :)
Of course, a busy Amy is an Amy that isn't crying her eyes out over my babies being in school...so it's
working out according to His plan to keep me sane. :)
I love that!

No post of mine would be mine without a list.
Lists make me happy!

Crazy, crazy, crazy life...

1. My baby boy Case turned SEVEN, yes 7, on the 23rd. I adore everything about this little guy! He has turned into quiet the little charmer. I guess he always has been, but now it's even working on his teachers! lol! He STILL makes us laugh every single day and hugs my neck a million times when he gets home from school. He is feeling pretty big time being Kenna Mae's big brother at school!
He is starting flag football this week. I'm not sure what to expect from that! His personality has always proven to be a little like a Jack Russell Terrier! :) Once he makes up his mind he's gonna TACKLE instead of pull flags...I sure hope we can stop him! haha! He is super intense!
I love you Caser-dude! You make my heart happy!:)
The new dance.
I think he's going to play the air guitar when he grows up! haha!
Playing the air guitar to the tune of Happy Birthday!

Yes, he looks like a dork for BOTH of his family parties. I just wasn't in the mood to fight him. He is the ONLY one of my 4 kids that gives a rip about what I dress him in! For some reason he prefers his shirts inside out AND backwards. Whatever.

MY MOTHERRRRR bought Case his first pet for his 7th bday. A hamster that Case promptly named Zeus. (don't ask me!?!) Three days later Zeus went to hamster heaven and broke Caser dude's little heart!:(
And because MY heart hurts when HIS heart hurts I promptly went to buy him another.
The sales lady talked me into a gerbil rather than a hamster because they are "tougher".
When I got him home and into his cage I realized that he really freaks me out and I seriously CANNOT bring myself to touch him!

I failed to take a picture of Zeus so I took one from Google images and this is pretty much what he looked like....

VERY cute and cuddly!

I couldn't figure out why I was so grossed out by "Boss" (the new freaky gerbil) and then it hit me!!
Lets see if you can guess...
YES! YES! You guessed it! That tail...uggghhhh! It sends it straight into the creepy category!!
Anyone want a grey gerbil?

2. August 23rd also brought Ava's 3rd bday along with it! Time is going by way too fast!
LOVE that baby girl!

2 1/2. I ended up having 2 bday parties at my house!

2 3/4. I also had ADO (sorority) at my house the Thursday before school started!

3. Kenna Mae had her 6 month follow up at her cardiologist.
I had no idea how stressed I was about this appointment until we left with a good report and I started CRYING! Jason was so confused! haha!
Like I have mentioned before, KM has VSD. Ventricular Septum Disorder. She has a small hole between the upper and lower chambers of her sweet little heart.
Every time her heart beats a "squirt"(don't you love my non-technical mommy talk?) of blood goes through the wrong place. hehe. I am making all my nurse readers cringe right now!:)
Anyhow, the hole is very much still there, however, it hasn't gotten larger or caused any crazy side effects. SO we are good to go. Of course, as her Mommy, I wanted to scream..."ARE YOU KIDDING ME? SHE HAS A HOLE IN HER HEART SQUIRTING BLOOD INTO THE WRONG PLACE!!!" But, I took a deep breath instead and let. it. go.
She is fine.
She is fine!
She goes back in 2 years for another check up. Other than that...she's great!

4.. It seems as though I am a cowgirl.
Jason bought cattle.
A lifelong dream.
He grew up and worked his families ranch his entire life so I knew it was coming.
I just didn't realize it was going to be NOW!
In all honesty, neither did he.
He found a deal he couldn't pass up and took it.
And now, we are cattlemen.
Cowgirls and cowboys.
I wore my blinged out flip flops, khaki linen cargo bermudas, and a cute tee to haul the cattle from the Bar A ranch (his family ranch) to the Bar A West (our very own place) and quickly learned why cowboys wear boots. Pastures are NOT good on the tootsies or bare sun kissed legs! lol!
When I walked out of my house with my boots and jeans on I realized...
THIS IS IT. THERE'S NO TURNING BACK NOW! I'M A COWGIRL! :)
And my husband has never been happier.
Case, oh, my, word...Case! (love that kid)

For your viewing pleasure....
(these pics were all taken at the Bar A after they were unloaded from the truck, but before they were worked and then hauled to our place, Bar A West.
Black Angus and Charolais bull...

5.. Kooper will soon look like this...
kinda...but without the crazy dreads and the long neck and tiny body. :) WAY cooler!
The man has some MAJOR orthodontic treatment coming his way Sept. 9th.
They are putting in a key appliance in the roof of his mouth to pull the top teeth back.
My poor guy with an under bite!
The treatment plan is for 30 months.
It is an insane amount of cash.
We are praising the Lord he is the only one with an under bite because apparently crooked is one thing, but bone structure brings on the major expense! Oh, well, gotta get my boy looking his best for Jr. high next year! By then,  he should no longer have the bone issues and we should just be dealing with braces.
He's been a great sport.
Did I mention his treatment also involves headgear? :(

6. There was a major accident that involved over 20 bobcat fans coming home from the game last Friday night. It's a very long story, but also a WONDERFUL story of our God performing miracles.
Three cars, (one with the front end completely crushed, one with the side completely totalled, one that FLIPPED), our principal was literally plunged(yes! his body, not his car!) into a ditch, 2 pregnant women, several children, (one of which was my daughter's best friend Kristen!) and a few teenagers (2 of which were my sisters best friends) and NO MAJOR OR INTERNAL INJURIES!
Kaylan's best friend, K (also a pregnant teenager)was air lifted to BSA with a broken femur. She was the most badly injured.
That's it.
No one, other than K(who is still in BSA) spent the night in the hospital.
Scrapes, bruises, a few burns and some road rash...THAT'S IT!
Those of you who live in a small town are understanding what Childress would have gone through if this accident had been fatal.
It would have rocked this small community.
It HAS rocked this community, but in a positive way...we all believe God performed many miracles Friday night. There just IS NO other explanation for the outcome.
Praise God!
He is SO GOOD!

That paragraph was perhaps the most horrendous display of proper grammar I have ever seen. But it shows my urgency to get the story out! Who cares about grammar anyway? :)

7. Have I also mentioned that my bestie and craft buddy Alana went back to school along with my children? COME ON PEOPLE!! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO WITHOUT YOU??

And that folks, is the last week and a half in a nutshell.
A giant nutshell.
At least the size of a walnut or a macadamia.
