My Kenna Mae turned 5...

I still can't believe how fast time flies. My baby has been in our little family for FIVE whole years! It seems like just yesterday we brought home our tiny baby girl. (all 6 lbs, 4 oz of her...our smallest baby BY FAR!)***SIGH***

I thought I would take a little trip down memory lane. I SO wish I had my scanner hooked up so I could show this baby girl on her first bday! She was bald, but still had those same red cheeks!:)

Kenna Mae on her 2nd birthday. Princess party.
3rd Birthday,Cinderella Party

Last year, 4th birthday, Fancy Nancy party.
Birthday #5. Zebra/Barbie party.
I'm really having a hard time with this birthday. I'm celebrating her precious life, but at the same time, struggling with the fact that I no longer have babies, or even toddlers! I have spent the last 11 out of 13 years of marriage, at home taking care of my kiddies. In less than 7 months I will find myself standing all alone in the living room of a house that suddenly feels so big and quiet. Don't get me wrong, I know that there are lots of things I want to do! Sorting, baking, cleaning, organizing, projects. The list is long, but it all just seems so...quiet.
So, as I draw a nice long breath, I will go on with the celebrating.

KENNA MAE'S 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY...

We decided together that this year would be a super cute zebra/Barbie party. I soooo wish I would have chosen a different table cover. Not the look I was going for! But, Kenna Mae doesn't seem to mind. :) She was all smiles and laughter.

I made her tutu just for the big day! I planned on buying a cute #5 monogrammed shirt from etsy, but I just let time slip away from me and ended up waiting too long! arrrggg!
Terrible picture. I really need to learn how to use this camera that I have had for 2 years. Maybe I should read the manual all day when I am standing all alone next year! :)
Holly made the cake. I think it turned out SO cute! She is fantastic and you can taste the real butter, mexican vanilla, and cinnamon in every bite!

I am a stocking stuffer fanatic! I am also SO thrilled with what Santa puts in my kids stockings! So, I came up with a new tradition for my kids so that I could have an excuse to "stuff" my own kind of "stockings"! This is the first of four BIRTHDAY BUCKETS I have made for my kids. Kenna's the lucky girl that gets to reap the benefits of our new tradition.

I found this pink bucket at Hobby Lobby (my all time favorite store) and traced and cut out her name and decoupaged it on! There is a cute zebra crown on the other side with some added bling! Then, I just tied fun, cute ribbon all along the handle. Voila, a birthday bucket is born. Who knows, maybe this is an idea that everyone else has been doing for years, but I sure did have fun stuffing it full of note pads and pens, socks, slippers, lip gloss, and candy! I think it was one of Kenna's favorite things at her party!

No spitting on the cake this year! :) or :(? I'm so confused!

Cheese! YUMMY cake!

This little sugar sure does look forceful! :) Krista had to make fun of me and say it looks like I was trying to kill her! HAHA sister! Funny.

O, WAIT! Another picture that Krista made fun of. She and my other sister, Kaylan (in the pink) said it looked like I was about to bust a move. I sure don't take good pictures like I used to! Thanks for pointing that out SISTERSSSSS! :) I absolutely ADORE my sisters! And I'm pretty sure they kinda like me too! :) Kenna's digging through the birthday bucket! FUN!!!!
Two of the most hilarious sisters ever. i kid. ;)

Little Miss Goof ball!
Daddy's baby girl!
She basically got everything her heart desired for Christmas and was completely stumped about what she wanted for her birthday. So, Jason and I decided to get her a fish. It's a beta in a princess tank.
SHHHHH. Don't tell her that it's a boy!
She named her Goldie. I guess it might also be a secret that it's a blue BEta, also, because last I checked Goldie was a great name for a GOLDfish! She's so creative!;)
Can't have a post without a fake smile from our Ava girl!
Kenna and her favoritest Ma. Jason's mom!

So there it is. A super fun, small, family party celebrating on of the sweetest, prissiest, funniest, hugginest, awesomest little princesses ever!

Kenna Mae, you are more special every single day!

I love you, forever!

I can't believe how fast our babies are growing. Just want you to know Averi still talks about Kenna Mae. She had her Fancy Nancy book out last week, talking about the little girl who got it for her. We must get together. It made me sad when she couldn't remember her name. That tells me it's been too long.

First, totally stealing the bucket idea, totally. Second, as you pine away keep in mind that some of us, who can't seem to quit having babies, haven't slept in weeks, months, years because they are a human binky. Some of us who homeschool their children would kill for a quiet house for even 15 minutes and daily contemplate locking the kids outside in order to get one. All that to say, there's good and bad in it all....enjoy all the good you can, ie crafting, baking and above all organizing!!

I am sad, because if Miss Kenna Mae is 5, that means Gracie is almost 5. :-(

I am in denial... They were just born, weren't they?!?!?! How can they be 5?!?!?!?
