As most of you know, 2008 was an incredibly stressful year for me. Jason and I took on our 2nd firm in Seymour, Texas to ring in the New Year right. It has been quiet an adjustment for our little family to learn to be without our main man so much. Things just don't work well around here without him 3 blocks away!!:) He has decreased his # of days in Seymour to only 2 days a week. Yeah! This year, we have some awesome employees that are going to make this a MUCH less chaotic busy season. ***I shutter at the words***( It makes me think of Jacob when he turns into a werewolf....dang the vampires and werewolves!!)

I cannot forget the single most stressful event of my life. Making the decision to bring Ali Mae to come live with us, increasing our home by only one more child, but OH, MY. Having 5 children is SO much harder than 4. After living with us for 9 months, Aliviah is home with her mommy again, and things are actually looking bright around there. Heather is in an RN program on the base in WF and engaged to a very nice man. I think she is coming around. I feel comfortable... for maybe the first time ever....that Aliviah is safe with her. Praise the Lord for his blessing.

This year my New Year's resolution touches on every single aspect of my life. I am so ready to change my life. The list seems to go on forever...

1. I am determined to start running. Jason and I are going every evening when he gets home from work.

2. Lose weight. AND MEAN IT THIS TIME!
3. Do more fun things with my kids.

4. More patience with my kids.
5. Read the Bible everyday and have a relationship with Christ, it's not enough for me anymore to just know him.

6. Spend more alone time with my husband. This is so hard to do with 4 kids and 2 CPA firms.

7. Organize my home top to bottom. Anyone want to volunteer? I finally got my Christmas decor put up yesterday. Except for the tree that I took down, folded up, and laid in the kitchen floor. It was WAY too cold yesterday to go out to the storage building to get the box! TODAY. TODAY!

8. Make more lists.:)

9. Paint more rooms.:)

10. Do more laundry!:)
OK. So those last couple were just for fun. Except for the laundry part. You all know how much I love laundry!! ARRGG! It's my nemesis!

Goodbye, 2008
Hello, 2009! I'm ready for ya!

I really enjoy reading your blog, I agree with Caleen and think you need to write a book. Keep doing what you are doing, being a good wife and a great mom, I consider you to be a good friend and glad you call me friend, sorry I missed all these years, sound like it was a good adventure and more to come, keep writing, itr really is inspirational to me and apparently to others.
