The seemingly never ending storm curse of 2008 is OVER!! Can I get an Amen???
Anyone??
After 5 full months of living in a home with boarded up windows and half its carpet, I once again have a home full of light and comfy carpet in our bedrooms.
It is amazing the sense of peace that has come over all of us. I guess we didn't realize exactly how much we hated living like that until it was over.
So, to celebrate, I have some before and afters. Because I know how much we all like before and afters. :)
Before, front...

During....

After....ta da...

Before. East side. Where most of our damage was. It blew out every window on the east side. Which, for the record, was 13 windows, and included some of the original 1928 glass.:(
That is hail on the ground mounded up like snow!

Sunroom

After. East side, sunroom

Before. Upstairs bedroom windows...

After. Upstairs

Before. Kooper and Case's room. We had to replace carpet in this room, as well as the girls room and the master bedroom. The glass was shredded and embedded into it.
After.

Still need to hang the curtains.

THE END!! WOO-HOO!!

Hello there new blog friend :)! Such a cute house. So glad it's done. Nothing feels like home, so I canot imagine not feeling "at home" with all the craziness.
It looks awesome! I love it! I LOVE the front porch color, especially! You did a great job and wasn't it worth the five months? Okay, maybe not five months. LOL!
One more thing. Hop on over to my blog and tell me where you are getting your backgrounds for your blog. Donna and I are presenting blogging in February and we need some other resources besides The Cutest blog On the block. Thanks!
