Date night...

Ok...what can I say. It must have been an unusually slow day around here because this is my THIRD post today. I guess I just have alot to say!

My amazingly sweet, ruggedly handsome, main squeeze has decided that we need a Friday night date night rule. As in EVERY Friday!! OK..maybe I had something to do with it. Maybe it is the fact that be the end of the week I am really not much fun to be around. Unless I'm alone!! But, he is all about it. I know this because he had a meeting today in Wichita Falls at 3. It takes 2 hours to get home so I asked him if maybe we just needed to call the babysitter and cancel. Guess what that stud of a man said?? "No, this is important! We'll just catch a late movie if we need to!" I do believe I heard angels singing! In fact, 4 hours later I can still hear them.

The children, all 5 of them, are in the playroom above my head jumping and playing so loudly that I think the chandelier might fall on my head. But, do I care? No, for it is a Friday. And approximately 4 hours from now I will be in a restaurant for a quiet dinner, or perhaps in a theatre watching a movie that does not involve Dora or Cinderella. I am a happy woman!!

***Disclaimer*** I absolutely adore my children! They are my life! But, hey, a momma needs a break every now and then!!LOL!!

About 2 minutes ago I came into my room wanting to watch a grown up show and all I heard and saw was Cars the movie playing on my TV. I just told my husband (who was watching with Jude) I was wanting to watch something for me. I have watched this stuff ALL day. at 9:45 at night, I think I deserve something besides kid shows. Your date night sounds AWESOME and yes I'm jealous! :) I think we all love our kids, but I totally agree that there is NOTHING wrong with some "adult" time every now and then. In your case, every Friday! You lucky thing you!!! :)

Hi! It's so funny that you posted, b/c I was at Ashley's (my sister, Jordan's wife) and Jordan was on your blog. Then we started talking about ya'll living Olney. Was your little brother Justin Horn? He was in my grade and I had a huge crush on him. I think we were "boyfriend and girlfriend" for a few days even!!!! Too funny!

Oh, Great! Tell Ol' Don Juan to cut it out already. Does he not realize how hard he's making it on the rest of the guys? Let me guess--ya'll watched Casa Blanca?

I am so happy for y'all. Y'all really seem to have y'alls priorities in line. I am really jealous...but in a good way....Until basketball is over and biggest loser Toby and I have no time. I really think that both of us are feeling it too. I think it would be great to just get away...not with anyone else...just us...and have a great time. with me being pregnant and NO energy it doesn't help out matters...keep us posted...

That a new and fun tradition to start! Who do you get to watch you kids? That is always our problem with going out on dates...finding a sitter. I know we should make it more of a priority, though. I hope you and Jason had a great time!
