Sibling love...

This morning has been a lazy one for me. I just can't seem to get focused on anything. Plus, our entire household, children and momma at least, are all in a sort of depression. Jason is leaving on a hunting trip today. He will be gone five days. Sooo, in my depressed laziness I am just sitting, checking all my favorite blogs, sipping my 2nd cup of coffee. Kenna Mae is at the BIG table eating her 2nd bowl of cereal. Case is in the playroom playing with his pirate ship. Then Kenna yells out to her big brother...."Hey, Superman, come here!!" It makes me smile!

On a side note, Case has had a passion for pirates for about 6 months. He has been begging me to watch Pirates of the Caribbean and I have been refusing knowing it is too scary. This morning he was driving me insane again, so I caved. I put him in the playroom so that Kenna could watch her "princess movie". About 2 minutes later he came out and said very matter of factly..."I turned it off, you were right, it's to scary!" And went on with his business. Hmmm...should have just tried that months ago!!

Great story. You never know what they're going to be scared of. I remember my son being over at someone's house and they put the movie "The Mummy" in. About an hour later he called wanting to come home. He said he was feeling sick, but it was really from the movie.

Poor kids ... we warp them sometimes when we allow them to see scary stuff when they're too young.

Have a great week.

You should go on a trip while Jason's gone. A shopping trip always aids in depressioN! :) HOpe you get to feeling better.

There is nothing better than when your kids play together WITHOUT fighting. I love it.

About Jason, I totally understand. Toby is leaving Sunday and won't be back until Wednesday night. (He was going to leave on Friday until he found out he is the new Friday night band director. He now has to stay for the game.) You and I need to get together and let the kids play. Let me know when would be good for you. Oh, by the way, one of your blogging friends ending up sending me a message. Come to find out that Toby coached with her husband in Clyde. FUNNY... It is a SMALL world... Again, let me know when would be good for you. Are you going to get to come Monday night to the Appreciation Luncheon? Let me know. It will be fun...
