No picture today.....how boring!!

Well, today has been a busy day. Lots of running errands and baby hauling. Case had his first field trip in preschool today. They went to the public library. I took my car with a couple of the kids and Kenna Mae. It was hilarious. You all know that Case is often a topic of my post. Sorry, here we go again. I know there are probably some of you out there thinking Case is my "favorite". It's just that Kenna is still to little and Kate and Kooper are quickly growing out of that "out of the mouth of babes" phase. He just has an unusual sense of humor that my other children do not have. His goal in life is to make you laugh. We are just trying to help him reach his goals!! Anyway, back to the story. There we were at the library. All the other children sitting, reading with their mommies. Not Case. He has never--never--sat through an entire book. He is not interested. He found several that looked good to him, but after only a few sentences he was off to wonder around and "chat" with the other kids. I was laughing at how uninterested he was with another mother there. Then I look down to see what kind of book she was reading to her son--The Digestive System. Yes, that is what I said. The kid is three. She said he is fascinated with the inside of his body and he loved books about his anatomy. BRAIN!! Sometimes I wonder if Case is some kind of child genius and he just already knows all this stuff. We are all just boring him to death with all these letters and numbers, and reading books about cows. LOL. He's just one of those kids that are gifted, you know. He can't count from one to five, but the other day I put green sheets on the bed and he said "Hey, it's the sea!" Then continued to strip down to his underwear and swim all over the bed. He's such a nut! I hope you all can tell I am being sarcastic. Maybe by the time he is in Kindergarten something will click!! For know, I'll enjoy the time I have when he doesn't think he knows more than I do.

One more...
I took Case for a treat after the field trip. We went to the barber shop. He LOVES to get his hair cut. He embarrasses me every time we are there. It is a little tiny shop and everyone can hear everything he says. Which isn't always good. Today was the usual "I wish I could grab him up and run out" day. First of all, there was an older woman there when we got there and Case kept asking if she was a grandma. Not just once, but at least 3 times. Then she got in the chair and another 3 times he asked me if she was a girl or a boy. I told him it was a girl and to quit being rude. He then preceded to argue with me because "she was wearing a boy shirt". She heard every word he said and finally she said, laughing, "well I was a girl but now my hair is so short I think they made me a boy". I wanted to run. They all laughed and thought he was funny. NOT funny to mommy. I wanted to run. I told him in the car he was very rude and he said "well, mommy, I just wanted to know". I need to go to Wal-Mart when I go pick up Kate and Kooper, but I'm taking Case to his daddy's office and leaving his rear there. (the benefit of having your own business) I have had enough embarrassment for one day!

Once again, keep the Case stories coming. I'm still laughing about the barber shop story . . .

that is hilarious... your Case sounds like my Coby... just the other day, he asked our waiter (an overweight man) if he had a baby in his tummy... I, too, wanted to run! :-)
