An Answered Prayer....

Many of you already know that I am the oldest of five girls in my family. Yes, we all have the same father. He left my mother in an ugly divorce when I was 21 and my youngest sister was 1. Only seven months older than our oldest, Kate. Since that time one of my goals in life have been to help my mother with the girls and lead them all to heaven. It has been a long hard road for all of us the past 8 years. We have laughed, cryed, had a few baby blessings, a few hard teen pregnancies, and recently the sudden dead of my mom's new husband of six years, Wiley. Wiley's death was tragic and heartbreaking for us all. Especially the girls because he has been their father the last 6 years. However, through tragedy, a few blessings have been showered on us. For the first time ever--the Sunday after Wiley died, my mother and all four of my sisters and my sister Heather's kids ALL attended church with us. It brings tears to my eyes to see years of painful prayer---ANSWERED. Just like that. And again, last night, we got home from church(which is 20 miles from our town)around 9 and THE phone call came in. Krista, now 15, wanted to be baptized. She wanted us all there. So, out the door we flew, back to church, to be a part of an even bigger blessing. She wanted Jason to baptize her. She has a long hard road ahead of her in her life. There are a few hurdles she has to jump in the meantime, but one of my lifelong prayers have been answered. Krista Kathryn Green is a child of God. I can't stop smiling!!!

Krista, if you read this, I am so proud of you. You are as beatiful on the inside as you are on the outside. You are glowing with the light of Christ!!

Keep her and the others in your prayers.

( Of course, I never have my camera when I need it most!!)
